Barrie Pride Parade

Details: The 6th annual Barrie Pride Parade in downtown Barrie! Bring your glamour and glitter to celebrate alongside our vibrant LGBT community. All welcome at this family friendly event. Parade begins at the H-Block Lot adjacent to the Downtown Barrie Public Library. Marchers and floats please arrive for setup starting at 1pm. Parade begins at 2pm sharp.
ROUTE: Start at H-Block Lot | East on Worsley St. | South on Mulcaster St. | West on Simcoe St. | North on Bayfield St.| North on Clapperton St. | End at H-Block Lot. Parade route is approximately 1.5km in length.
Lake of Bays Antique & Classic Boat & Car Show
Date: Sunday, August 18 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Location: Baysville - Baysville Riverfront Docks
Details: The Riverfront docks and streets of Baysville are home to the Lake of Bays Antique and Classic Boat and Car Show. Historic 109-year-old S.S. Bigwin, a 66’ steam ship which once cruised as a ferry for famed Bigwin Island, back in her glory days
- Antique and classic cars and trucks. Last year, there were 110 cars in attendance.
- Northern Lights Steel Orchestra Band - Bring a lawn chair or throw down a blanket, grab a bite to eat, some pastries or an ice cream cone at one of our local establishments and bring it back to the park and enjoy the show?
- Grand finale at 4:00 pm as Bag Piper Sharon Mace pipes out the procession of boaters as they leave for another beautiful ride on the Lake of Bays.
Annual Carrot Fest

Details: Voted as one of the Top 100 events in Ontario by the Festival & Events Ontario for the last 9 years, Carrot Fest returns to Bradford West Gwillimbury! BWG’s 2019 Carrot Fest will take place in the downtown area and at the Bradford & District Memorial Community Centre at 125 Simcoe Road on Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17. The event includes a large vendor market with hundreds of vendors, Aqua Dogs, Professional Wrestling events, BMX Stunt Shows, Kids Zone, live stage entertainment and more! Carrot Fest is a celebration of the region’s agricultural heritage, especially the role played by the carrot in the local economy. Carrot Fest is a way to bring the community together to celebrate, encourage participation and generate pride. What started as a merchant-based community has now developed into a historical event involving not only the residents, but people from the global community.
The Collingwood Brewery Beer Fest

Elexicon Dockside Festival of the Arts

Artists of the Limberlost Open Studio Weekend

Details: 13th Annual Studio Tour! The rugged landscape of the Canadian Shield has inspired artists for over a century, and this is the place we call home. You are invited to discover for yourself how the creative tradition continues. Meet the makers and experience our studios and workshops. You’ll find nature-inspired pottery, jewellery, fiber art, sculpture, paintings in many styles and media, and functional art crafted from local wood. This year you’ll meet 17 artists at 6 locations, all within a short drive of each other. Limberlost Road is close to Algonquin Park in the Huntsville/Lake of Bays area of Muskoka Ontario, and winds through forest, rock and wetlands rich in wildlife and natural beauty. Annual Summer Sidewalk Sale

Details: Come enjoy what beautiful Downtown Huntsville has to offer! The downtown shops will be bursting out onto the street! The kids will love the activities! The live music will be jammin’ all day long, including tunes from local musician, Sean Cotton! Once again we are rolling out the 'green' carpet to our customers! The Green Street Challenge will be laying sod on Main St. and Downtown Huntsville will be coming alive outside! All sod will be donated after the event. Road closes at 9am, event starts at 10am.
Tugfest Georgian Bay and HarbourFair

21st Annual Downtown Orillia Classic Car Show

Wasaga Under Siege

Details: Visit Nancy Island Historic Site for a day of ships, sailors, cannons, and more! Experience the life of a sailor in 1812 and discover what life was like on a ship!

Collingwood Summer Music Festival

Ghost Tours at Discovery Harbour

Location: Penetanguishene - Discovery Harbour, 93 Jury Drive
Details: Stories of misfortune and eerie tales of things unexplained. Lantern light illuminates the historic site, while you tour with guides through the historic buildings at night. A spooky guided tour by candlelight featuring encounters with apparitions in the window and footsteps in the hallway. Tales of actual people associated with the Military and Naval Establishments will include that of the McGarraty brothers who died on the march from York in June of 1831 and the tale of Private James Drury who died New Year’s Eve 1836 on guard duty at Officers’ Quarters. Recommended for ages 10 and up
