Details: Come enjoy a free pancake breakfast with your family! Take your own Santa photos for free at our awesome photo booth, all the while enjoying live Christmas music! Details: Discover the magic of an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas on December 12 and 13, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. Listen to festive holiday music and embrace the Christmas spirit as you sample unique seasonal treats, and experience what Christmas looked like during the Victorian era. Stroll the lantern-lit pathways and Heritage Buildings as you explore Simcoe County's festive past. Listen to sleigh bells and feel the crisp winter air on your face as a horse-drawn wagon takes you on a journey through our beautiful forest. Visit the vendor booths for hand-made gifts and food items. Victorian Christmas is guaranteed to get the whole family into the holiday spirit! Once again, County of Simcoe Paramedic Services will be onsite to collect toys for local children. Guests can also support Barrie and District Christmas Cheer by purchasing a charming hand-made bowl from the Empty Bowls program. Admission to the event is by monetary donation with proceeds going to the Friends of the Simcoe County Museum. The Friends of the Simcoe County Museum support the programs and services offered by the Museum through the proceeds raised from this event, as well as other initiatives that occur during the year.

Christmas Home Tour

Details: The Christmas Home Tour is an annual event organized by the Midland Heritage Committee in December in order to showcase Midland's beautiful heritage homes and to raise money for other heritage projects. The 9th Annual Christmas Home Tour is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 14th, 2019. Join us on a magical tour of Christmas past in 6 beautifully decorated homes. Old Fashioned Christmas

Details: Stroll through our historic main street and see the beautifully decorated windows and shop interiors; have a delicious meal at one of our outstanding restaurants; discover why Thornbury is known for it’s warm welcome and special charm! Join us as we kick off the holiday season, with activities and excitement for the whole family. Activities include cookie decorating, balloon twisting, face painting, a photo booth, family dance party, horse drawn carriage rides, tree lighting with Beaver Valley Pipes and Drums, chestnut roasting at the igloo on Bruce Street, a magic show, and of course, Santa arrives.

Festival of Trees Winter Lights Display
Date: Saturday, November 16 to February 29, 2020
Location: Barrie - Heritage Park, 5 Simcoe Street
Details: A spectacular display of lights to celebrate the winter season. Most people think the gorgeous display of lights that appear along Lakeshore Drive during the holiday season is put there by the city, but in fact it's our club working with generous sponsoring companies who are identified on signs throughout the park with fundraising proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Barrie. Festival of Trees lights are lit during the Santa Claus parade and remain lit till the spring. Immediately following the parade there's a picnic with hot dogs, hot chocolate and hot cider. Presented by the Rotary Club of Barrie.
