Spring Pickle Park Party

Details:    Send off the season with a jam format "contest" on the BIG DILL custom pickle builds and a BBQ in the Badlands Terrain Park! Ride the custom course and enjoy some delicious pickles and a free BBQ for participants!

Muskoka Arts & Crafts Spring Members' Show
Date:      Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24
Location: Bracebridge - Bracebridge Sportsplex - 110 Clearbrook Trail
Details:    42nd Annual! The Spring Members’ Show displays the strength, vitality, creativity, and wealth of talent found within Muskoka Arts & Crafts. Over 100 members have their work in the show.  The Show opens with an awards presentation and reception on Friday beginning at 7pm. After the awards presentation, Moonglow takes the stage to provide an evening of entertaining music as the artists & the public mingle to share ideas about the work on hand as well as creativity in general. Throughout Saturday, and Sunday, the members are at the show offering demonstrations of their techniques and artistry. In addition to the work on display, these demonstrations are and inspiring and educational glimpse into the creative world. The Members will be present to welcome you throughout the show, answer your questions, and help should you decide to purchase one of the pieces of art.

Spring Splash
Date:      Saturday, March 23 at 2pm
Location: Eagle Lake (Haliburton) Sir Sam's Ski/Ride - 1054 Liswood Road
Details:    Get ready to make a splash. Dressed in creative and dazzling costumes, brave contestants attempt to cross a frigid, super-sized puddle at the base of Cash Register. While some will make it, others will not. Which is more exciting for the raucous onlookers is a subject of great debate. Either way, this is Spring Splash – an exciting day for competitors and spectators alike. Prizes will be awarded for most successful cross, most unsuccessful (read: biggest splash), best costumes, and most creative crossing. The $10 entry fee is due on registration at the Snow School Desk. Entries are limited, so get there early. For those who are happier to watch, we encourage you to grab a famous Sir Sam’s Caesar, a cold one from Boshkung or Muskoka Brewery, or perhaps even a Gin & Tonic and experience the excitement from the spacious chalet sun deck. Wrapping up the day is an Aprés Ski Dinner & Dance with the Carl Dixon Band. Tickets are $45/person and must be purchased in advance. Must be 19+ to attend dinner & dance.

Wiarton Rotary Maple Magic 2019

Details:    The Rotary Club of Wiarton's Maple Magic is now in its 8th year. A fun filled family event that includes celebrating the onset of Spring with a feast of Buttermilk Pancakes topped with fresh Regal Point Elk Farm's Maple Syrup. The house specialties include a Peaches & Cream meal and Kids Gourmet meal selections of a Wiarton Willie or a Country Bear. OR, try a "snack waffle" from the Waffle Bar!
Climb Mt. Haymore! Tag along on the guided Elk Tour! Find the hidden Willies on the Wiarton Willie Trail! Visit the Bush Play playground! Visit the “Land of Giants”, monster machines to see & touch. Sweetwater Harvest Maple Syrup Festival

Escape to a time when maple syrup was made over an open fire, experience our history and explore nature at its best. The festival celebrates the history of maple syrup, and the role it plays in our cultural and natural heritage. Sweetwater is not your average maple syrup festival. Beyond the sugar shack tours, pancakes and taffy tasting, there is so much more to the weekend long festival including birds of prey demonstrations, live music from local artists, kids’ games & activities, woodcarving demos; and of course, chickadee feeding!

Clearview Health & Leisure Expo

Guided Night Snowshoe Adventure

Details: Strap on your snowshoes for a night-time hike, where stars and shadows create a dramatic setting for adventure. Professional guides lead you on a 1 ½ to 2 hour romp through an enchanting winter wonderland. Beautiful trails wind through a mature forest of 100 foot tall trees and spectacular lookouts from the top of the Niagara Escarpment. The headlamps illuminate your path of glistening powder snow creating an enchanting world of continually changing shapes. It’s both mysterious and exhilarating. There are a variety of animals and tracks to keep an eye out for – porcupines, deer, racoons, rabbits and winter birds. Did you hear the cry of a snowy owl? The climb up to “Lookout point” is well worth the effort. On a clear night you view the glow of the ski hills and the sparkling lights of villages and towns. You stride with rhythm beside shallow creeks, through open fields, up and down the rises and falls of the silhouetted backdrop. With the crunch of snow under your feet, you descend down the Escarpment to the 420 ft. suspension footbridge where the expansive glittering panorama against the stark black shadow of Georgian Bay takes your breath away.
