Driver seriously injured after crashing into tree: OPP
An overnight crash in Tiny Township is under investigation, where a car allegedly crashed into a tree and both occupants were taken to hospital.
According to Southern Georgian Bay OPP, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. Saturday evening on Lafontaine Road near Concession Road 16. Police say the vehicle veered off the roadway before crashing into a tree.

The driver, a 34-year-old Penetanguishene man, was reportedly trapped inside the vehicle and seriously injured. Police say he was extricated from the vehicle by Tiny Township firefighters and triaged at the scene by paramedics.
The driver was taken to Georgian Bay General Hospital and then to a Toronto-area trauma centre for life-altering injuries according to Sourthern Georgian Bay OPP. Police say a 21-year-old female passenger from Penetanguishene was also taken to hospital for injuries sustained in the crash and has since been released.
The area was closed overnight before reopening around 4 a.m. Sunday morning. As of Sunday afternoon, police have not announced any charges in relation to the incident.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with video footage that may assist the ongoing investigation.
