The Busby Centre held a community barbecue to thank the community for its continued support.

On Sunday, the centre held a barbecue at Meridian Place.

The Busby Centre held the event to mark 31 years of operation, supporting the community's most vulnerable populations.

"Everything counts, right? We just need as much support as we can," said Sara Peddle, Busby Centre Executive Director. "We know that the needs are growing because we have a homelessness and housing crisis right now, so we need to make sure that our operation is continuously going to ensure that we serve all the people that we're serving every day."

The centre also received a $5,000 donation from Coke Canada Bottling at the event.
