Five people have been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle collision in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Police say the crash happened on County Road 88 between Highway 400 and the 10th Sideroad just before 5:30 this evening.
Investigators are reporting a vehicle left the Tanger Outlets in Cookstown and was followed by police.
The Special Investigations Unit reports the vehicle later collided with a pickup truck carrying two people.
Ontario’s police watchdog investigates reports of death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault involving the police.
The road has been closed in both directions for the investigation.
