Property and drugs worth nearly $500,000 have been seized after a massive raid in York region.

York Regional Police began their investigation after a string of thefts began in August at golf courses in Simcoe County, York, Durham and Waterloo regions.

In a bust worthy of a Hollywood film, police executed seven search warrants at homes and storage lockers in both East Gwillimbury and Georgina on Wednesday.

Police list a large quantity of stolen items recovered, including 18 golf carts worth almost $200,000, golf clubs valued at more than $100,000, rare Pokemon and Magic the Gathering trading cards worth approximately $100,000, and $20,000 worth of DeWalt construction tools.

Additionally, more than two kilograms of cannabis, 86 grams of psilocybin, 28 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and currency was also seized.

Three men from Keswick and another from Vaughan, ranging in age from 19 to 48, have been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and drugs, trafficking, break and enter, mischief and more.
