Three emergency vehicles, including two OPP cruisers, were involved in three separate crashes in the Orangeville area on Wednesday.

The first crash, around 9 a.m., involved an OPP cruiser on the 5th Line north of Amaranth Side road- just west of Orangeville. The male officer wasn’t injured and just minor damages to his cruiser.

Then at around 9:45 a.m., a fire truck and a car collided at Dufferin County Road 12 and the 5th Line of Amaranth. Orangeville Fire Chief Andy MacIntosh tells CTV News the person in the car suffered life-threatening injuries. The fire truck was its way back from another accident when the collision occurred.

Then around 1 p.m. another cruiser was hit on Dufferin County Rd. 109 near the 9th Line.

According to police, a female officer was stopped at the side of the road investigating a jackknifed tractor-trailer when her cruiser was stuck. She was taken to Headwaters Hospital in Orangeville with non-life threatening injuries.
