A Muskoka road will be closed until next week after a culver collapsed which caused a sinkhole.
The collapse happened on Wednesday, June 3rd on Muskoka Road 169, east of Foot’s Bay.
The closure on Muskoka Road 169 is between Hamill’s Point Road and Hallet’s Road.
Quinn Michell with the District of Muskoka says aging infrasturcture was the cause of the collapse and the culvert was scheduled to be replaced later this summer.
Michell says there are working around the clock to fix the problem and they are hoping to have it open by next weekend.
