Several farm animals have died in a barn fire near Keswick.
Fire crews with the Georgina Fire Department were called to Ravencrest Road, around 5 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters found a barn engulfed in flames.
Fire officials say two pigs and a number of sheep died in the fire. No other injuries are reported. According to firefighters, strong winds caused the flames to jump across the road – sparking a grass fire.
The cause of the fire has not been determined and a damage estimate has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
