Southern Georgian Bay OPP is investigating a second head-on collision this weekend, this time in Tay Township.
Police say a GMC Canyon pickup truck and a Pontiac Montana van collided on Old Fort Road in Tay Townshipon Saturday just before 11p.m.
Tay Township firecrews had to extricate the male driver from the pickup – he was airlifted to a Toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the van was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Old Fort Road is now open, following a police investigation. It’s unclear what caused the crash to happen.
