Investigators are continuing to probe a house explosion in Victoria Harbour.
An OPP investigation has determined that a resident was unlocking the front door of their Jephson Street home on Friday, when the explosion happened at the back of the house.
Fire crews from Tay Township responded and extinguished the flames. Police say damage to the back of the house is considered to be extensive. The resident was uninjured.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office attended the scene over the weekend to investigate the explosion. However, a cause is still unknown.
The OFM has now turned over the property back to the owner and will continue their investigation.
