Fire crews are battling a fire at a house in Tiny Township west of Midland.
Deputy Fire Chief Denis Maurice tells CTV News this afternoon flames were visible at the front of the house when crews arrived.
It happened just before 4 p.m. Maurice says the owner was outside and heard the smoke alarm. Flames may have started in the kitchen. Maurice says a family of five lives in the house. Everyone got out safely, and the Red Cross was contacted for help.
Maurice says fire crews remain at the house still, working on putting out hotspots.
The house is in the Lafontaine area on Tall Pines Drive.
We have a crew on the way and we’ll update this story when more information becomes available.
