South Simcoe Police says no foul play is suspected after a fatal car fire in Innisfil on Wednesday night.
Emergency responders were called to 5th Sideroad, about a kilometre south of Highway 89, around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials discovered that a woman had died at the scene.
A joint investigation was started between South Simcoe Police, the Office of the Fire Marshall and the Coroner’s Office.
South Simcoe Police told CTV News on Thursday afternoon the death is not considered suspicious.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
Police had 5th Sideroad closed for several hours but reopened it the road shortly after 11:30 a.m.
