A fire destroyed a barn north of Creemore early Saturday morning.
The fire broke out just before 12:30 a.m. on Fairgrounds Road. When fire crews arrived the barn was fully engulfed in flames and they focused on keeping it from spreading to a nearby house.
Clearview Fire called in for mutual aid from several neighbouring fire departments to help them shuttle in water and to keep firefighters warm.
No one was injured and the 25 horses that normally stayed inside the barn were let out for the night due to the mild weather.
Damage is estimated at $500,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined due to the extent of the damage.
