There were no injuries after a fire completely destroyed a barn in Oro-Medonte on Friday morning.

Oro-Medonte Fire Chief Hugh Murray tells CTV News they got the call for the fire around 7 a.m.

When fire crews arrived on scene at 381 Ridge Road West they found a barn completely engulfed in flames.

Crews were able to contain the fire to the barn but it was completely destroyed.

Two horses lived in the barn but were able to make it out safely.

Murray says putting the fire out was made difficult by the amount of hay that was inside the barn.

There is no word on the cause.
