An airboat that was transporting people and good between Christian Island and the main land caught fire on Thursday.
Beausoleil First Nation Chief Roland Monague tells CTV News that three people were on board but were not injured but all goods onboard were destroyed.
One witness, Chad King, said the boat caught fire quickly and a hovercraft was used to rescue the people.
King also said the airboat was towed to shore after the fire was out.
