What's open or closed on Thanksgiving Monday?
With turkey and stuffing eyeing the spuds and the carrots, Thanksgiving Monday is shaping up to be a dish we can all be thankful for.
To that end, the County of Simcoe is reminding residents of openings and closures on Thanksgiving Monday.
Curbside Waste Collection and Waste Drop-off Facilities
Waste Collection is ongoing, as there is no change to the county's waste collection schedule
All County waste drop-off facilities are closed on Monday, except for the Matchedash facility, which is open on its regular schedule on Sunday and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
LINX Transit
LINX Transit services are not running on Monday with the exception of Route 4.
Route 4 will be operating a Sunday schedule on Monday.
Buses will return to regularly scheduled services for all routes on Tuesday.
County Administration Centre (Midhurst) & Service Simcoe Contact Centre
The Administration Centre, including the Service Simcoe Contact Centre, will be closed to the public on Monday.
Ontario Works and Children Services
All Ontario Works and Children Services offices are closed on Monday.
Lake Simcoe Regional Airport
The Lake Simcoe Regional Airport will be operating as usual on Monday.
Simcoe County Museum
The museum will be open for its regularly scheduled hours between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Simcoe County Archives
The Archives office is closed on Monday.
