‘Violent’ incidents under investigation

Police in Barrie are investigating what is being described as a series of ‘violent’ incidents that occurred early Saturday morning.

According to Barrie Police via X, the incidents occurred between 2 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on Dunlop Street East in the City’s Downtown core. Police say they are looking to obtain video footage from the public that may assist the investigation.

A spokesperson from Barrie Police Service told CTV News that they are looking into a number of weapons-related calls and calls where people sustained injuries and left the area.

Anyone with video or additional information about the incidents is encouraged to contact the Barrie Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
