Three individuals from Orillia are facing charges in connection with a trafficking investigation that police say led to the seizure of a considerable quantity of drugs.

Officers began investigating alleged drug trafficking in the Sunshine City and, on Wednesday, executed a search warrant at a Barrie Road address.

Police arrested two men and one woman, and allegedly confiscated fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, hydromorphone pills, oxycodone pills, plus a prohibited knife and several cell phones.

One of the accused, a 31-year-old man, is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats along with drug trafficking-related offences.

All three are also charged with possessing property obtained by crime and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
