Provincial police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that allegedly struck a teen in Gravenhurst Monday morning and took off.

Police say the 15-year-old was hit between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. by a blue four-door car in the area of James Street and Muskoka Road South.

Officials say the high school student was crossing from the south/west side of the intersection when a vehicle turned right onto Muskoka road, striking the student.

The teen suffered what police described as minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

There is no description of the driver at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
