Snow squall warnings issued by Environment Canada

Cottage country is expecting another foot of snow today.
According to Environment Canada, northern central Ontario is going to get hit with 30 to 40 centimetres of snow Monday afternoon.
Peak snowfall rates are expected to be around three to five centimetres per hour.
Areas under the snow squall warning include: Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, Baysville, Port Carling, Port Severn, Parry Sound, Rosseau and Killbear Park.

The weather agency is calling for reduced visibility as snow squalls develop off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay later today.
The squalls could shift south Tuesday afternoon.
A little further west, Owen Sound, the Blue Mountains and Northern Grey County are also under a Snow Squall Warning today.
Snow squalls can cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common.
Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.
Environment Canada asks drivers to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
