A shooting investigation is underway after a man arrived at a Huntsville hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
The incident happened at an apartment building on Main Street West on Sunday, just before 1 p.m. The man's injuries are described as non-life threatening in nature.
The apartment's entrance and an area around the town's train station were taped off for a good portion of the day. Police wouldn't comment as to what they were looking for or the type of firearm that was used.
"It's in the beginning of the investigation; there is nobody in custody right now," says OPP Sgt. Lynda Cranney.
An OPP canine unit, the emergency response team and the forensics identification unit are assisting in the investigation.
Officers have spoken to witnesses, but many details remain unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
