Field trips just got a lot easier and cheaper for Barrie schools.

The Barrie Transit Field Trip Pass Program offers free elementary and high school transportation for students and teachers, removing the hassle of booking charter buses and managing the costs.

Each pass permits up to 30 students and five adults to travel on any Barrie Transit service.

The program offers teachers and administrators a way to get students out of the classroom and into hands-on learning experiences around the city.

Schools can register online.

For any questions, teachers or school staff can contact Service Barrie at 705-726-4242 or via email.

After registration, schools receive step-by-step instructions on how to use the passes.

Participating schools are issued three Field Trip Passes.

The passes are valid for the entire school year, covering all Barrie Transit services, including regular bus routes, the Transit ON Demand service, and Specialized Transit for registered students with accessibility needs.
