One person was airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries after a collision in Haliburton on Friday afternoon.

While there was a snowstorm at the time of the single-vehicle crash on Kennisis Lake Road, it’s unclear if the weather was a factor.

Air ambulance Ornge paramedics said they transported a man in his 20s with critical injuries that police described as life-altering.

Police closed the area between Growler Lake Drive and Bitter Lake Road. They expect the road to reopen around 9 p.m.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
