Police investigate deadly collision in Whitchurch-Stouffville

York Regional Police are investigating a deadly collision that happened over the weekend in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Police say officers responded to a single-vehicle crash in the area of Stouffville Road and Stalwart Industrial Drive around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.

They say the passenger vehicle left the road and was significantly damaged in the collision.
The driver, a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, a 42-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone with information or dash camera footage of the collision to come forward by submitting video online or contacting the authorities at 1-866-876- 5423, ext. 7704, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
