Provincial police are investigating after a pellet gun was allegedly fired at a vehicle travelling along Highway 50 in Bolton.

According to Caledon OPP, the vehicle was travelling along the highway when the driver noticed that a pellet had been fired through his windshield. The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The driver says four youths were standing on the side of the highway and ran eastbound along a path, near Bolton Heights Drive.

The youth who was allegedly holding the rifle is described as having dark coloured skin, 5’8” and was wearing a black t-shirt, a black hoodie and jeans.

Police are now investigating whether this shooting is related to an incident on April 28 in the same location. In that case, a pellet was fired from a moving vehicle and struck a woman who was out for a walk.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
