Share

Police in Barrie are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian and two motorcycles on Thursday night.

Investigators say the pedestrian was crossing Mapleview Drive East near an intersection east of Prince William Way when he was struck by a motorcycle heading east.

Police say a second motorcycle also hit the pedestrian and may have made contact with the first bike.

The 62-year-old pedestrian was treated at a local hospital for serious injuries. Police say the severity of his injuries has since been downgraded.

The motorcyclists remained at the scene, police say.

It's unclear if any charges will be laid at this time.

Police ask anyone with information on the collision, including dash camera footage, to contact the investigating officer via email.
