The allegations imply the accused was offering alcohol to a youth in exchange for explicit images.
On Monday, officers executed a search warrant at an Orillia residence and, as a result, arrested the 43-year-old Orillia man.
He faces charges of luring a person under 18 using telecommunication, sexual exploitation, sexual assault, and possessing child pornography, among others.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Police encourage anyone with information about this or a similar incident to call the Orillia OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
