One person seriously injured after rollover collision in Oro-Medonte

Emergency crews had to rescue one person trapped inside a vehicle after a rollover collision in Oro-Medonte Thursday morning.

Police closed Horseshoe Valley Road West at McNutt Road in Craighurst, forcing motorists to turn back.

The area was closed while crews worked and police investigated what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and crash into the ditch.

The incident happened in front of Settler’s Ghost Golf Club.

Police say the lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police closed Horseshoe Valley Road West from Line 3 to Highway 93 at Penetanguishene Road. The road reopened shortly after 3 p.m.
