Orangeville residents are being advised of a scheduled increased police presence around Headwaters Health Care Centre Sunday morning for a mock emergency scenario.

Dufferin OPP officers and other first responders will be in the area at around 8:30 a.m. for the mock exercise. Police and health centre staff confirm that it will not pose a threat to public safety, and Headwaters will remain open during its duration. All patient services will remain fully operational with regular visiting hours in effect.

Health centre staff add that mock emergency code scenarios are rehearsed on a regular basis to help first responders become even more prepared in the event of an emergency.

Headwaters will send a notice via social media once Sunday’s mock exercise is complete.
