Warrant issued for allegedly armed and dangerous man wanted for attempted murder
Police in York Region have issued an arrest warrant for one man following a reported shooting at a motel in Queensville.
Officers were called to a motel at Yonge Street and Queensville Sideroad on New Year's Day at about 9:45 p.m.
Police say they found a 24-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a trauma centre with non-life threatening injuries, and has since been released.

They say the suspect, who they identified as Andre Joseph Pitre, 33, of King Township is wanted for attempted murder and other offences, including several weapons-related offences.
Police say the accused is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, rather call police immediately.
The authorities urge the accused to the accused is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in.
