Jack Frost makes appearance across region: freezing rain predicted by Environment Canada
It seems Jack Frost is making his presence felt across Simcoe County and Simcoe Muskoka this winter season.
Environment Canada (EC) has issued a warning for patchy freezing rain, which is expected to linger into the evening as freezing drizzle continues across the region.
“The freezing rain is expected to transition to drizzle as temperatures moderate through the overnight,” stated the national weather agency in its Sunday forecast.

As midnight approaches, fog patches are expected to develop, reducing visibility and making travel conditions tricky, continued EC.
Residents should also brace for a wind chill and scattered flurries throughout the week, adding to the wintery atmosphere.
Environment Canada says Monday may see a 40 per cent chance of drizzle with rain showers into Tuesday. Prepare for a cloudy week as sun is expected to make its appearance well into Thursday, the weather agency shared.
Whether you blame the Grinch who stole Christmas or Jack Frost, it’s a good night to stay warm and cozy indoors.
