Inaugural Eats on the Streets brings a taste of global cuisine to Barrie
Downtown Barrie came alive this weekend with a variety of tasty treats and irresistible aromas filling the air of Dunlop Street.
The City held its inaugural Eats on the Streets event, turning Dunlop Street into a bustling open-air food market.
On Saturday, hundreds of families and residents visited to check out everything there was to offer.

Chris Frechette, co-owner of B'Spoke Kitchen and Market, told CTV News that the event was keeping his staff nice and busy.
"We're unique to what most people are used to seeing; we have a lot of choices, you can 'B'spoke' your meal, so people are getting that," he said. "I think it's a great event. Hopefully, they do more."
Over 40 local restaurants and cafés came together to showcase their cuisine, which brought visitors through a gastronomic journey across the globe.
According to organizers, the event helps to celebrate the rich culinary history of Dunlop Street, which has long been a gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
