Careless driving charge laid following multi-vehicle crash on Highway 12

One person has been charged following a multi-vehicle collision that snarled traffic along Highway 12 on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews and police were called to the highway at Sturgeon Bay Road just after 3 p.m. for a crash involving four vehicles.

Police say one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not provided details about the cause of the collision, however, officers charged a 39-year-old Tiny Township resident with careless driving.

The area was closed for a couple of hours for the clean-up and investigation.
