A home has been significantly damaged after a late night fire in Caledon.
Fire crews were called to a house on Atchison Drive on Monday, at around 10 p.m. after a fire was found in an attached garage by one of the five residents. The home was evacuated and no one was injured.
When crews arrived, the garage was engulfed in flames and the fire was spreading to the second floor of the house.
After an hour of fighting the blaze, firefighters were able to knock the flames back and bring the fire under control.
Investigators say the fire caused a total of $450,000 to the home, two vehicles, a neighbouring house and boat.
The cause remains under investigation.
