Environment Canada confirms two tornadoes touched down in southwestern Ontario Friday night.

Officials say an EF-0 tornado with winds of up to 130 km/h hit the Leamington area.

Meteorologist Rob Kuhn says there are reports that the tornado damaged solar panels and a greenhouse.

Environment Canada is also says an EF-2 tornado with wind speeds of up to 180 km/h touched down in Hawkesville, Ont., near Waterloo.

There have been nine confirmed tornadoes in Ontario this year.

Typically the province sees14 tornadoes every year.
