One person was taken to the hospital with what police describe as minor injuries after a loose wheel caused a collision on Highway 400 in Bradford on Monday.

Police say the wheel came loose and struck a vehicle in the northbound lanes at Simcoe Road 89, causing that vehicle to crash into another.

The left and middle lanes were closed briefly for the investigation.

Police say a 25-year-old man from Mississauga is charged with operating an unsafe vehicle, having a part detach, using an unauthorized plate and not having insurance.
