Domestic assault charges laid against partner: OPP

Provincial police were summoned to an address in Georgian Bluffs, 10 minutes west of Owen Sound, about a domestic assault.

Police investigated the allegations and pressed charges against the person's partner. Police do not identify the individuals in a domestic assault to protect the victim.

A 27-year-old Georgian Bluffs individual was charged with:

  • Two counts of sexual assault cause bodily harm - choke, suffocate, strangle
  • Mischief - domestic
  • Assault with a weapon - spousal
  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal
  • Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

The accused is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
