The new owners of Burl's Creek Event Grounds in Oro-Medonte are facing charges for work being done on the site without approval.
The Lake Simcoe Conservation Authority has confirmed it recently issued notices of violations and laid charges against the event grounds owners. The conservation authority says the charges are for construction work that is interfering with wetlands, and alterations to shorelines and watercourses.
For months crews have been preparing Burl's Creek for two major music and camping festivals this summer.
Officials from Burl's Creek didn't respond to CTV Barrie’s request for a comment.
