Police in Barrie are investigating an alleged break-in and theft from a business in the south end.

Local authorities say the suspects smashed the front door of the Commerce Park Drive business just before 5 a.m. Monday to gain entry and stole roughly $7,000 worth of battery-powered tools and assorted electrical supply equipment.

“Video surveillance clearly showed five males arrive in two motor vehicles and within four minutes flee the area with what had been stolen,” the Barrie service noted.

The suspects fled west on Commerce Park Drive towards Veteran’s Drive.

Police ask anyone with information that can help with the case to contact them.
