Another historical sexual assault charge laid against Beeton, Ont. man
A Beeton man is facing another count of sexual assault following an investigation by provincial police.
Already facing several allegations of sexual assault of women and young girls, John Wilkinson 60, is now being accused of another count according to Nottawasaga OPP.
Wilkinson, who is currently out on bail to a surety, is accused of several sexual assault counts that police believe stem from alleged incidents in 2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019 involving women and girls; the youngest was five years old.
The first set of charges were laid in September 2024 when investigators with Nottawasaga OPP said a young woman came forward alleging Wilkinson sexually assaulted her when she was a child back in 2010.

Wilkinson was arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
A month later police arrested Wilkinson again when more complainants came forward to allege Wilkinson had sexually assaulted them in separate incidents.
Wilkinson was charged with two counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference from 2015 and 2019. Along with the alleged sexual assault of another person in 2017.
Following Wilkinson’s first set of charges, police said he and the youngest complainant lived in the same community in Beeton and investigators encouraged other potential victims to come forward. Police remind the public that there is no statute of limitations to report a sex crime.
The accused is scheduled to make two virtual appearances inside a Bradford courtroom next month. The allegations against him have not been tested in court.
