OPP officers arrested a suspect while he was in the middle of a possible theft Sunday morning in Wasaga Beach.

At around 9:30 a.m., Huronia Wet OPP responded to a call about a man who appeared to be taking property from a neighbour's home while they were away.

Upon arrival, officers found the man exiting a shed at the back of a private residence on Baker Street. Police say the shed's contents had been emptied and thrown over an adjacent fence, while other stolen goods were located on a nearby street.

A 43-year-old Wasaga Beach man was arrested and charged with theft, obstructing a peace officer and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

He was released and is scheduled for a future court date in Collingwood.
