The Ministry of Labour has been notified after a large tent collapsed in the township of Southgate, injuring several people.
Police say the incident took place on Sunday afternoon when about 100 people were under the tent attending a private event.
They say inclement weather, including very strong winds, rain and hail passed through the area at the time.
Nine people had to be taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries after the tent collapsed.
