One man was taken to hospital after his small plane crashed just off Grass Lake Line, north of Highway 11, on Sunday afternoon.
Officials tell CTV News the pilot, who is from Richmond Hill, took off from Buttonville on Sunday morning, landing on a private landing strip just outside of Washago.
When he took off to return, the plane clipped a treeline and came down.
A picture from the scene shows the plane upside down in the trees.
The man was taken to hospital.
Paramedics say the man received injuries but they are not considered to be life threatening.
Police are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash and have not commented on their investigation.
