T'is the season for a parking and plowing refresher
The Town of Innisfil is preparing for the snowy season ahead, with plenty of the white stuff in the forecast.
“Snow removal is everyone’s responsibility,” the Town stated on its website. “As a property owner, it is your responsibility to clear snow and ice from your driveway and any sidewalks that border your property.”

Overnight parking restrictions are in effect between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. to allow plow trucks to navigate down roads safely.
Outside of the noted times, the Town asks residents to avoid parking on the road during the day if the plow has yet to clear the snow.
“The Town of Innisfil has 758 lane km of roads, and we aim to clear snow from the busiest roads first. It is our mission to clear all roads within 24 hours of a snow event and we prioritize emergency routes and high-traffic roads,” the Town added.
The County is responsible for clearing Yonge Street, Fifth Sideroad, Tenth Sideroad, and parts of Innisfil Beach Road.
The on-street overnight parking restrictions are in place until May 1.
