Provincial police are investigating a suspicious death after a man was found dead inside a home in Mulmur Township.
Officers were called to a home on Dufferin County Road 21 around 7:15 p.m on Friday and when they arrived, the man who was initially attended to by Dufferin EMS, was found dead.
The man has been identified as a 43-year-old Gordon Josie from Dundalk.
Police are continuing their investigation and say no there is no threat to public safety.
“We also have at a least a dozen detectives on this right now, so we are devoting a lot of resources in terms of getting this solved and getting as much information and finding out all the facts we can to determine what happened last evening,” said OPP Constable Paul Nancekivell.
Police aren’t saying why they are considering this a suspicious death because they say at this point it could compromise their investigation.
