"Not only was it approved by all the members, but another $500 was raised to bring even more cheese to the mobile soup kitchen," wrote Bill Nicholson, president of the Kiwanis Club of South Georgian Bay.
Kiwanis will be donating 215 packages of Shredded cheese to the Collingwood Mobile Soup Kitchen on Wednesday across from Town Hall near the HOPE sign.
"The mobile soup kitchen has been feeding the homeless and less fortunate for approximately one year and is comprised of volunteers.
The shredded cheese can provide snacks or mixed to make a meal and it can be stored easily.
"This is a significant donation that will have a great impact," said Nicholson.
