Sexual assault charges laid against Midland man
A Midland man has been arrested on several alleged sexual assault charges.
A search warrant by the Major Crime Unit, OPP members from the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), canine unit, Emergency Response Team was executed at a Manly Street home at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Police arrested a 32-year-old Midland man whom they say has been the subject of several criminal investigations since mid-September.
He was charged with:
- Two counts of sexual assault
- Three counts of sexual assault with a weapon
- Two counts of administering a noxious thing
- Two counts of communicating for purposes of obtaining sexual services
- Overcoming resistance
- Four counts of failing to comply
The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.

Investigators believe that there is a possibility additional people may been a victim to the man's criminal activities.
