A man running and falling in the middle of Dunlop Street West raised concerns for one citizen who called police.

Barrie police responded the call at 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

They found, what they determined to be, a very intoxicated man leaning against a light post near Cedar Pointe Drive near the Highway 400 on/off ramps.

The 42-year-old Parry Sound man wasn't sure how he was going to get home, so he was brought to the Barrie police station where he was held until he could be safely released.

He was charged for being intoxicated in a public place, fined $65, plus a victim of crime surcharge of $15.
