RIDING OF YORK SIMCOE
Conservative incumbent Davidson initially took over the reins in 2019 after competing in a by-election to take long-time MP Peter Van Loans' seat in Ottawa.
Months later, he competed in the federal election and won again.
Davidson has several competitors vying to represent the riding, including Liberal Daniella Johnson.
Johnson said childcare is her top priority and creating better job opportunities.
NDP candidate Benjamin Jenkins entered the race for the riding a few weeks ago. The young politician mentioned the ongoing situation on Georgina Island as a key issue.
PPC candidate Mike Lotter will also battle for the riding.
The municipalities that make up the riding of York Simcoe are Georgina,
Bradford West Gwillimbury, King, and East Gwillimbury.
