Two Innisfil residents and their dog are safe tonight after fire caused extensive damage to their home.
Innisfil fire crews were called out around 7 p.m. to the home along Shore Acres Drive, just outside of Gilford.
Flames were shooting out of the roof and windows of the home when crews arrived.
Innisfil's fire chief tells CTV News 25 firefighters worked on the fire, and were still putting out hot spots late into the evening.
They were able to contain it and prevent it from spreading to a neighboring home and garage.
The cause of the fire and an exact location where it started are unknown at this time.
Fire investigators expect to be back on the scene on Friday morning assessing the damage and continuing to look for a cause.
